Some Races for that ill-planned sci-fi setting...

Verumen - Self proclaimed ‘true’ heirs of the human race, the Verumen never fail to remind other races
that they (allegedly) deviate the least genetically from baseline humanity.
They are a very militaristic species, assuming all populated worlds can/should be their rightful domain as
the ‘inheritors of Earth’. This arrogance received quite a blow recently when the Verumen
High Command orchestrated a plan to retake Earth from the Terrans, the cybernetic monstrosities that
also claim to be the ‘true heirs’ of Earth.
Unlike the Verumen, the Terrans actually occupy Earth, and were quite prepared to defend it from the
Argrhen Navy when it jumped into the Sol system through one of  its three gates.
The losses were reportedly staggering, which may explain the Verumen Council delegation’s sudden
interest in diplomacy with the other races.

Titans - Thousands of years ago, on a world that is now quite dead, the Titans were designed to be the
ultimate soldier. They are faster, stronger and more resilient than their cousins, but this physical prowess
comes at the expense of mental agility. Although lagging behind the galactic norm in terms of
technology, Titans find gainful employment as mercenaries in the vast number of wars raging at any
given time across the galaxy.

Bua’gh - The Bua’gh are an insectoid race with latent psionic abilities, making them quite popular as
navigators for those needing to use an S-Drive. Unfortunately, the name of the species translates closely
enough to the word ‘bug’ in most of the Galactic languages so that is usually what they are called.
Little is known of the species as a whole, their polity or even their homeworld. Some claim that they are
ingratiating themselves to multiple polities for nefarious ends. This is fake news.

Hulder - Beautiful, refined, arrogant… These are a few of the words that are commonly used to describe
the Hulder. The Hulder are a humanoid species, that while bearing a striking resemblance to the various
scions of humanity, are not at all related. Hulder are slightly shorter on average, and are quite light due
to their hollow bone structure. Hulder have six insect-like wings on their back that allow them flight in
atmospheres and gravity levels that would allow it.
The Hulder claim to have once held dominion over a galaxy spanning empire eons ago. While some
evidence exists for an empire having existed that far outstrips the one currently in existence, there
is no hard evidence that the Hulder themselves were at the center of it. Hulder insert themselves
into as many political machinations as they can within the Council, and do enjoy an apparent level of
technological advancement that is ahead of the galactic norm.

Terrans - Arguably the oldest line of humanity that is still existent in this dimension, and current occupants of Earth, the legendary home of the Humans. Why it is arguable that the Terrans are the ‘oldest line’ of humanity is that they long ago shed their biological forms in favor of loading their consciousness into artificial automatons and other constructs (allegedly including a hivemind housed within the corona of Earth’s star)  Given this ‘choice’ the Terrans are effectively immortal, but largely unchanging as they may not reproduce, and the youngest Terran is well over 5000 years old. Terrans will at times wipe their memories and put them in ‘cold storage’, so that they may live ‘multiple lives’. While they are not inherently violent, they have shown absolutely no reluctance to use overwhelming force on those that trespass in their domain, or stand in the way of some inscrutable goal.
